"In the Presence of God” is a play by Hugo Jon Sayles that deals with faith- that inner spiritual journey that touches the heart and moves the soul. The play is a series of stories of spiritual journeys spanning the Black experience from Post-Slavery to Hurricane Katrina. The third episode- "I Have This Scar", relates how a woman's image of herself and her relationship with her brother is breaking her heart, as Hurricane Katrina descends upon New Orleans.
